Phase Advancement Benchmarks

R Place operates a three-phase, twelve-month residential program for adult women. Advancement through phases is based on measurable, observable benchmarks in behavior, participation, spiritual growth, and life skills. This document provides a court-friendly framework for evaluating resident progress.

Phase 1: Stabilization and Foundations
(Months 1–6)

Objective: Establish sobriety, personal accountability, and initial spiritual formation.

Benchmarks:

  • Attendance: 100% or higher at all scheduled activities
  • Zero positive drug/alcohol tests
  • Participation: Active engagement in group sessions, chores, and activities
  • Life Skills: Demonstrates improved financial, household, and interpersonal skills
  • Behavior: No rule violations; demonstrates respect for staff and peers
  • Journaling/Reflection: Completes weekly self-reflection assignments
  • Mentor Meetings: Attends and actively participates
  • Life Skills: Demonstrates improved financial, household, and interpersonal skills.Life Skills: Demonstrates mastery of daily living, budgeting, and interpersonal skills

Phase 2: Life Skills and Reentry Preparation
(Months 6–12+)

Objective: Prepare residents for independent living and reintegration into community, employment, and healthy relationships.

Benchmarks:

  • Attendance: 100% or higher at all scheduled activities
  • Sobriety: Maintained zero positive tests
  • May start work (30 hrs. per week if enough growth shown and all disciplines and tasks are met. No employment work on Sunday
  • $275 entry fee to be paid. Rent rate will be based upon a percentage of your pay
  • Life Skills: Demonstrates mastery of daily living, budgeting, and interpersonal skills
  • Spiritual Growth: Serves as mentor or role model to Phase 1 residents
  • Reflection: Completes advanced journaling or personal development assignments
  • Demonstrated readiness for greater independence and responsibility
  • Behavioral Leadership: No rule violations. Consistently demonstrates responsibility, accountability, conflict resolution.

Graduation Requirements:

  • Meet all above benchmarks for a minimum of 3–4 months in Phase 2
  • Staff recommendation for graduation
  • Completion of program assignments and participation requirements
  • Demonstrated personal growth, readiness for independent living, and responsible reintegration into the community

Note: Advancement between phases and graduation is based on staff observation, compliance, and documentation. Exceptions or extensions may be granted at the discretion of the Program Director for extenuating circumstances.
